As part of the Inter-Omics project, team member Dr. Tomislav Radić participated in the RNASeq Autumn School | Data Analysis Workshop, held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 29 September to 2 October 2026.

The workshop covered the complete RNA-Seq data analysis workflow, from next-generation sequencing (NGS) data processing and quality assessment to differential gene expression analysis and biological interpretation of results. Participants gained practical experience with widely used bioinformatics tools, including HiSAT2, Salmon, MultiQC, DESeq2, goseq, and KEGG and GO enrichment analyses, using the R and RStudio environment.

The expertise gained through this training will directly support upcoming transcriptomic analyses within the Inter-Omics project.

The kick-off meeting of the project team was held on Friday, March 13th, at the Institute for Adriatic Crops in Split. The collaborators gathered in Split, and those who could not attend the meeting “in person” attended via video link. The project leader presented the project, its objectives, research methods and expected results. The detailed research plan and the activities of the collaborators on the project were discussed. The key phases for the successful implementation of the project and potential risks were also defined.
